Is it worth using apps to combat procrastination, or is it just self-deception?
I’ve been going back and forth on this lately. On one hand, I keep hearing that productivity apps can really help, but on the other, it sometimes feels like just another way to avoid actually doing the work. I even checked out a few lists like the best anti-procrastination apps to see what people recommend, and there are so many options it’s hard to choose. I tried a couple, but after a few days I stopped using them. Still, I did notice that when I followed the structure, I was more focused. So now I’m wondering — are these apps genuinely helpful, or do they just give a temporary feeling of control?

From my experience, it really depends on expectations. I used to think apps would magically fix my habits, but that didn’t happen. What actually helped was using them as a reminder system rather than relying on them completely. When I started treating them as support tools instead of a solution, things improved a bit. I’d say they can be useful, but only if you keep things simple and stay consistent over time.
